“No pity! No remorse! No fear!” – The battle cry of the Eternal Crusade

“No pity! No remorse! No fear!” – The battle cry of the Eternal Crusade

on

The Black Templars are no ordinary Chapter. Born from the gene-seed of Rogal Dorn during the Second Founding, they rejected the Codex Astartes and instead swore an eternal crusade – a vow made by their first High Marshal, Sigismund, that every successor has renewed for over ten millennia. They do not garrison worlds. They do not build fortresses. They hunt. Across the void of space, their crusade fleets carry the Emperor’s wrath to every heretic, xenos, and daemon that dares defile His domain.

Before every battle, the warriors of a crusade gather to be led in prayer and contemplation by their Chaplains. In their righteous zeal, united in their hatred of the foe, they swear a mighty oath to uphold in the battle ahead. These are the Templar Vows – sacred oaths that channel the Chapter‘s fury into focused, devastating action. Oaths such as:

  • “Suffer Not the Unclean to Live”

  • “Uphold the Honour of the Emperor”

  • “Abhor the Witch, Destroy the Witch”

  • “Accept Any Challenge, No Matter the Odds”

The Ring of Crusader Vows captures this sacred ritual in wearable form. It is not merely a piece of jewellery – it is a portable altar of faith, a daily reminder of the oath you carry.

⚔️ Design – The Oath Forged in Metal

Central Eight-Point Star – At the heart of the broad band sits the eight-point crusader star, the Chapter’s most sacred emblem. Each point represents one of the Eternal Crusade‘s guiding virtues: faith, duty, sacrifice, zeal, honour, vengeance, resilience, and glory.

Outer Band Relief – The entire outer surface is covered in meticulous high-relief carvings: grimacing skulls (memento mori – remember you must die for the Emperor), sacred scriptures in gothic script, battle-worn chains, and stylised power swords and chainswords. Run your finger across the band – every ridge and recess tells a story of ten thousand years of crusade.

Inner Oath Inscription – Turn the ring inward, and you will find selections from the famous Templar Vows inscribed in classical lettering. As Sigismund‘s scions reiterate their oaths before battle, so too can you renew your vow with a quiet touch. “Accept any challenge, no matter the odds.” Words that have guided the Chapter since the Horus Heresy.

The ring‘s broad silhouette evokes the signet rings of medieval crusader lords – the kind of ring that once sealed treaties, marked nobility, and carried the weight of a bloodline’s honour.

✨ Two Sacred Finishes – Choose Your Oath

1. Sterling Silver – The Antiqued Crusader

Crafted from pure 925 sterling silver, this version undergoes a special antiquing process that gives it a weathered, battle-scarred patina. The silver eight-point star blends seamlessly with the band, creating a solemn, understated military aesthetic – perfect for those who prefer their faith expressed through quiet strength rather than ostentation.

The antique finish makes the high-relief details pop with dramatic shadow, emphasising every skull, chain link, and scripture scroll. This is a ring that looks like it has already survived a hundred battles – it is ready for a hundred more.

Perfect for: Purists, veterans, and those who honour the grimdark tradition.

2. Sterling Silver + 24K Gold – The Gilded Champion

The same 925 sterling silver base, but with one sacred difference: the eight-point star is hammered with genuine 24K gold plate. The golden star sits against the darkened silver band like a beacon of faith in the void – gold representing the Emperor‘s undying light, silver representing the cold steel of crusader armour.

When light hits the ring, the gold catches and glows, while the antique silver remains deep and shadowed. The contrast is immediate and powerful – the gold star seems to float above the battlefield like the Emperor’s own blessing.

Perfect for: Commanders, champions, and those who wear their devotion with pride.

🏰 The Legacy of Sigismund

Sigismund was the first Emperor’s Champion, the first High Marshal of the Black Templars, and arguably the greatest duellist the Imperium has ever known. He swore an oath upon leaving Terra: to prove his loyalty by never resting in his duties against the enemies of the Emperor. Every High Marshal after him has renewed that vow, and the Eternal Crusade continues, unbroken, for more than ten thousand years.

The Ring of Crusader Vows is a tribute to that legacy. When you wear it, you are not just wearing a licensed product. You are joining the Eternal Crusade. You are carrying the weight of Sigismund‘s oath on your finger. You are standing shoulder to shoulder with every Marshal, every Sword Brother, every Emperor’s Champion who has ever drawn a chainsword in His name.

“There is no oath they will not swear, vow they will not take, nor bloody act of battlefield worship they will not perform in His name.” – Codex Supplement: Black Templars
