“The alien is among us. It always has been.”

The Genestealer Cult is the Imperium‘s most insidious enemy — not a horde of daemons or a fleet of xenos warships, but a hidden infection that spreads from within. It begins with a single Genestealer, implanting its genetic material into unsuspecting humans through its ovipositor. The infected become part of the cult’s collective psychic Broodmind, their wills subsumed by the Patriarch‘s influence. They become the Brood Brothers — the first generation of hybrids, the infiltrators who walk among the faithful, waiting for the signal to rise.

For decades, sometimes centuries, the cult grows in secret. They infiltrate planetary governments, corrupt the Imperial Guard, and subvert the Adeptus Mechanicus. When the time is right, they rise — and the Tyranid hive fleet descends to consume all.

The Mark of Brood Brothers Pin Badge is a tribute to this slow, patient corruption — a symbol of the cult that hides in plain sight.

🧬 Design — The Mark of the Starward Kin

The Genestealer Visage

At the centre of the badge lies the Genestealer skull — a gaping maw lined with razor‑sharp fangs, insectoid compound eyes that seem to follow you, and chitinous textures that evoke the alien predator‘s terrifying form. This is the face of the Starward Kin, the brood that has haunted the Imperium’s nightmares for ten thousand years.

The Spiked Rim

The 47.5mm diameter badge is ringed with sharpened metal spikes, a design choice that echoes the cult‘s aggressive, predatory nature. These spikes are not merely decorative — they are a warning: the cult is always closer than you think.

The Cog‑Ring Halo

Surrounding the skull is a cog‑ring halo with mechanical cut‑outs, representing the cult’s twisted fusion of flesh‑warping mutation and machine‑worship. The Genestealer Cults do not reject technology — they subvert it, turning the Imperium‘s own tools against itself.

The Weathered Finish

Cast in silver‑grey alloy with a weathered matte finish, the badge looks like a relic unearthed from a forgotten underhive — worn by generations of cultists, passed down through the brood, waiting for the day of ascension. The deep crimson, charcoal, and silver‑grey colour palette creates a stark visual contrast, with dark red shadows evoking the sense of an alien predator stalking from the darkness.
