The Ultramarines are the XIII Legion of the Space Marines forged during the Great Crusade. Be it the Age of the Emperor Great Crusade or the grim dark of the 41st Millennium, mortal folk draw profound comfort at the sight of their sigil hollow U crest riding to their salvation.
A disciplined, professional fighting host, the Ultramarines stand sworn to defend the Five Hundred Worlds of Ultramar, ever ready to answer calls for aid from every corner of the Imperium. They hold the creed that a peerless military is the fruit of a prosperous realm; the Chapter exists to uphold the Imperium, not the other way around. This tenet manifests in their unwavering focus on wartime logistics and post-war reconstruction.
Were it not for their obsessive pursuit of honour and glory, paired with rigid adherence to dogma, they would stand as the most grounded, logically conceived Space Marine Legion in all canon.
"Courage and Honour!"
