The Raven Guard were one of the smallest Legions during the Great Crusade, consisting of 80,000 Astartes and an Imperial Army contingent known as the Xeroth Infantry under their expeditionary forces. As a Legion, the Raven Guard were a formidable foe to any who opposed the Imperium of Man, employing the proven guerrilla tactics that Corax himself had mastered during his revolution—the very strategies that had freed his people from the cruel enslavement of the Tech-Guilds of Kiavahr.
Highly efficient and rigorously trained, the Raven Guard specialized in infiltration, lightning strikes, and covert operations, alongside large-scale sabotage. They had perfected these tactics to such a degree that what seemed effortless to them appeared nearly impossible to warriors of other Legions.
